Effect of Field Line Torsion on the Polarization of ULF Waves
Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.Abstract In this paper we suggest a simple modification of the dipole magnetic field which introduces field‐aligned currents and torsion to the field lines. Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.Abstract Two geomagnetic storms occurred in October 2024 (Oct 6‐9 and 10–12), driven by the impact of a series of interplanetary coronal mass ejections on the magnetosphere. The first was a moderate storm, with peak Sym‐H near −150 nT, whereas the second was intense, Sym‐H reaching −340 nT.

Austral Entomology, Volume 65, Issue 2, May 2026.Abstract Surveys of caves of the Nullarbor Plain, Western Australia, revealed a remarkable assemblage of exceptionally well‐preserved mummified arthropods, comprising Araneae, Blattodea, Coleoptera and Chilopoda, all of which exhibit high levels of troglomorphism, lacking eyes and showing a number of other adaptations.
