Validating Twin Deficit Hypotheses: The Zambian Case
The fundamental goal of the research was to verify if Twin Deficits Hypothesis holds for the economy of Zambia using Time Series data from 1980-2014. The current account and budget deficit were employed as key variables. The exchange rate was also used as a transmission mechanism to see how it contributes in the nexus.

Twin Deficits or Distant Cousins? Evidence from India
The twin-deficits theory has intrigued economists and policy-makers alike for the past few decades. In a Keynesian economy, budget deficit increases the absorption of the economy, causes import expansions, and thereby, worsens the trade deficit.

Muscle Control of an Extra Robotic Digit
This study compares muscle‐ and movement‐based control for operating a supernumerary robotic thumb. While movement control performs better in the proposed tasks, muscle‐based (EMG) control promotes broader motor learning. The results highlight the promise and challenges of using biosignals for human augmentation, offering new insights into intuitive ...

This review maps the methods to monitor robots’ health by fusing vibration, sound, control signals, vision, force, and oil information with artificial intelligence. It identifies deep learning, transfer learning, digital twins, and physics‐informed models as key methodological pathways enabling earlier diagnosis, safer human–robot collaboration, and ...

This study investigated the relationship between government budget deficit and current account deficit in Ethiopia using annual data spanning the period 1976-2015. The analysis is based on a vector error correction model. The methodology of the study begins with Augmented Dickey-Fuller stationary tests of the data and the Johansen co-integration rank ...

Narrowing the US twin deficits: simulations with a world macroeconometric model [PDF]
In this paper we extend the macroeconometric model developed in Bagnai (2004) by linking it to a submodel for the Japanese economy, and we utilize this extended model to investigate several hypotheses of reduction in the US twin deficits.

Our study reveals the protective role of GPR124 in maintaining BBB integrity and promoting neurological recovery following TBI. It makes a significant contribution by uncovering a novel molecular interaction between GPR124 and FGFBP1 and linking this to activation of the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway in vascular repair mechanisms.
