2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Background/Objectives: Human identical twins are born at a rate of 3–4 per 1000 live births. Many other mammals also occasionally produce monozygotic twins, referred to as sporadic polyembryony. The underlying mechanisms are unknown.

4D‐Printed Magneto‐Plasmonic Microrobots for Programmable Spatiotemporal De‐Icing
A 4D‐printing strategy is introduced to achieve programmable de‐icing devices. By aligning gold–magnetite nanofillers within a photosensitive resin, the printed structures exhibit dual magnetic and plasmonic functionalities, enabling precise spatio‐temporal ice removal through thermoplasmonic effects.

Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

Comment on 'A new nanoscale metastable iron phase in carbon steels' [PDF]
We show that the selected area diffraction patterns presented in a recent paper (T. Liu et al. Sci. Rep. 2015 5, 15331) do not prove the existence of a new hexagonal phase in martensitic steels.

Spatially Modulated Morphotropic Phase Boundaries in a Compressively Strained Multiferroic Thin Film
ABSTRACT The coexisting rhombohedral‐like (R′, MA) and tetragonal‐like (T′, MC) monoclinic phases in compressively strained bismuth ferrite thin films exhibit exceptional piezoelectric and magnetic properties. While previous studies have largely focused on probing the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPBs) comprising ordered R′/T′ twins, their self ...
