On the Six-dimensional Kerr Theorem and Twistor Equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The Kerr theorem is revisited as part of the twistor program in six dimensions. The relationship between pure spinors and integrable 3-planes is investigated.

Algebraic surfaces with infinitely many twistor lines

open access: yes, 2019
We prove that a reduced and irreducible algebraic surface in $\mathbb{CP}^{3}$ containing infinitely many twistor lines cannot have odd degree. Then, exploiting the theory of quaternionic slice regularity and the normalization map of a surface, we give ...

Loops of loops expansion in the amplituhedron

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study a novel geometric expansion for scattering amplitudes in the planar sector of N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 super Yang-Mills theory, in the context of the Amplituhedron which reproduces the all-loop integrand as a canonical differential form on the ...

Toric anti-self-dual Einstein metrics via complex geometry

open access: yes, 2008
Using the twistor correspondence, we give a classification of toric anti-self-dual Einstein metrics: each such metric is essentially determined by an odd holomorphic function.

A Projective-to-Conformal Fefferman-Type Construction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We study a Fefferman-type construction based on the inclusion of Lie groups ${\rm SL}(n+1)$ into ${\rm Spin}(n+1,n+1)$. The construction associates a split-signature $(n,n)$-conformal spin structure to a projective structure of dimension $n$.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

Non-Abelian Tensor Multiplet Equations from Twistor Space

open access: yes, 2014
We establish a Penrose-Ward transform yielding a bijection between holomorphic principal 2-bundles over a twistor space and non-Abelian self-dual tensor fields on six-dimensional flat space-time.

Twistors and supertwistors for exceptional field theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
As a means of examining the section condition and its possible solutions and relaxations, we perform twistor transforms related to versions of exceptional field theory with Minkowski signature.

Additive Manufacturing of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Composites: Process, Characterisation, Modelling, and Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.
