The principle and analysis of accuracy of a two-color-emission-CT pyrometer
International Congress on Instrumentation in Aerospace Simulation Facilitie, 2003An algorithm of a two-color-emission-CT (computed tomography) pyrometer is presented, and the measured values of temperature and density of burnt gases are discussed. The greatest advantage of this method is that it needs no blackbody as a reference source and only one window for each light path.

However, its accuracy degrades significantly when the transmission path between the object surface and the pyrometer is full of high concentration participating media, which attenuates the surface radiation signal to the pyrometer.

Reduction of methodological errors in determining the temperature of metals by two-color pyrometers
Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics, 2006Two-color methods of optical control of the thermodynamic temperature of metals subjected to thermal treatment are analyzed. A technique for taking into account the nonmonochromaticity of the photoreception path is suggested and an analysis of methodological errors of two-color pyrometers with wide spectral ranges is performed by numerical simulation.

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1985A two-color pyrometer has been designed, constructed, and used to measure the ignition temperatures of metals and metal alloys. Cylindrical metal and metal alloy specimens were ignited by a focused cw CO2 laser beam in a cool, static, pure oxygen environment.
