Consistent two--dimensional chiral gravity [PDF]
We study chiral induced gravity in the light-cone gauge and show that the theory is consistent for a particular choice of chiralities. The corresponding Kac--Moody central charge has no forbidden region of complex values.

Two-Dimensional Spectroscopy of Two-Dimensional Materials
In this work we provide an exact and efficient numerical approach to simulate multi-time correlation functions in the Mahan-Nozières-De Dominicis model, which crudely mimics the spectral properties of doped two-dimensional semiconductors such as monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides.

Two-Dimensional Toda-Heisenberg Lattice [PDF]
We consider a nonlinear model that is a combination of the anisotropic two-dimensional classical Heisenberg and Toda-like lattices. In the framework of the Hirota direct approach, we present the field equations of this model as a bilinear system, which ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Two dimensional Airy beam soliton
We demonstrate the formation of a two dimensional Airy beam soliton in a photorefractive crystal. By simply varying the nonlinearity strength we identify several scenarios showing the coexistence between an Airy beam and the emerging soliton. The soliton

Generalized Two-Dimensional QCD
We study two-dimensional gauge theories with fundamental fermions and a general first order gauge-field Lagrangian. For the case of U(1) we show how standard bosonization of the Schwinger model generalizes to give mesons interacting through a general ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Two-Dimensional FIR Filters [PDF]
Chapter 91 In this chapter, methods of designing two-dimensional (2-D) finite-extent impulse response (FIR) discrete-time filters are described. Two-dimensional FIR filters offer the advantages of phase linearity and guaranteed stability, which makes them attractive in applications.

Two-dimensional Induced Ferromagnetism
Magnetic properties of materials confined to nanometer length scales are providing important information regarding low dimensional physics. Using gadolinium based Langmuir-Blodgett films, we demonstrate that two-dimensional ferromagnetic order can be ...
