Intravascular real-time, two-dimensional echocardiography
The International Journal of Cardiac Imaging, 1989Intravascular, real-time, high resolution echography is an exciting new development. It produces circumferential images of the artery of interest and allows measurement of lumen dimensions, wall thickness and extent of atherosclerotic disease. This unique diagnostic potential can be used to characterise and quantify the degree of atherosclerotic ...

Two-dimensional echocardiography
Postgraduate Medicine, 1984The accuracy and safety of two-dimensional echocardiography and the reproducibility of findings have led to its current prominence in the physician's diagnostic armamentarium. It has wide clinical applications, excelling in assessment of valvular heart disease, pericardial effusion, and intracavitary masses, such as vegetations and left ventricular ...

Two‐Dimensional Echocardiography in Myocardial Amyloidosis
Echocardiography, 1991Two‐dimensional echocardiography is the best means of identifying early cardiac amyloid infiltration and gauging its subsequent progression. The early asymptomatic phase is characterized on echocardiography by a mild‐to‐moderate increase in left ventricular and/or right ventricular wall thicknesses.

Digital two-dimensional echocardiography
1985Over the past two decades, echocardiography has emerged as an essential diagnostic tool in clinical cardiology. This is related to the fact that it is entirely noninvasive, can be readily performed at the bedside, and can provide accurate and reproducible information at no known risk to the patient. M-mode echocardiography was initially used to provide

Reproducibility of quantitative two-dimensional echocardiography
American Heart Journal, 1988In order to assess reproducibility of quantitative planimetry, three physicians trained in two-dimensional echocardiography performed five successive studies on one another over 2 weeks (30 total studies). Then each physician traced each study (90 total tracings) for left ventricular and atrial volumes and ejection fraction by means of a modification ...

Transvascular and Intracardiac Two‐Dimensional Echocardiography
Echocardiography, 1990Recent developments in transesophageal and catheter‐based ultrasound instrumentation have allowed invasive ultrasound imaging. This experimental study presents a new application of invasive ultrasound, transvascular and intracardiac ultrasound imaging.

Textbook of two-dimensional echocardiography
International Journal of Cardiology, 1984ABSTRACT This clearly and concisely written, abundantly and appropriately illustrated, and handsomely bound volume deserves its title: Textbook of Two-Dimensional Echocardiography. Although it is a multiauthored text, there is a unity of writing style and content from chapter to chapter.

Two-dimensional echocardiography in discrete subaortic stenosis
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1984Thirty-seven patients with discrete subaortic stenosis (DSS) underwent 2-dimensional echocardiography (2-D echo) and cardiac catheterization. The peak systolic pressure gradients ranged from 0 to 150 mm Hg. Thirty-two patients had membranous DSS and 5 had fibromuscular DSS.
