Matched Filters for Noisy Induced Subgraph Detection [PDF]
The problem of finding the vertex correspondence between two noisy graphs with different number of vertices where the smaller graph is still large has many applications in social networks, neuroscience, and computer vision.

A Functional 2D Carbon Allotrope Combining Nanoporous Graphene and Biphenylene Segments
The synthesis of a novel nanoporous graphene (NPG) is reported with biphenylene segments via thermal fusion of 12‐armchair porous graphene nanoribbons grown on gold surfaces. Characterization using STM, AFM, and DFT reveals low‐defect semiconducting behaviour and tunable band gaps.

Wind mapping in Venus' upper mesosphere with the IRAM-Plateau de Bure interferometer
The dynamics of the upper mesosphere of Venus (~85-115 km) have been characterized as a combination of a retrograde superrotating zonal wind (RSZ) with a subsolar-to-antisolar flow (SSAS).

Integrating Vibrio natriegens for Photon Manipulation in Living Lighting Devices
Rationalization of genetic and material engineering tools has enabled the engineering of fluorescent Vibrio natriegens (V. natriegens) to fabricate straightforward, highly emissive and stable V. natriegens‐silicones color filters for the first red‐emitting bacteria‐hybrid light‐emitting diodes. This pinpoints V. natriegens as a high‐performance protein

Cluster analysis of multiple planetary flow regimes [PDF]
A modified cluster analysis method was developed to identify spatial patterns of planetary flow regimes, and to study transitions between them. This method was applied first to a simple deterministic model and second to Northern Hemisphere (NH) 500 mb ...

COFs on MOFs: Layer‐by‐Layer Synthesis of MOF@COF Nanoparticles with Synergistic Adsorption
A layer‐by‐layer strategy enables the growth of crystalline covalent organic framework (COF) shells on metal–organic framework nanoparticles, creating core–shell structures with tunable porosity. Ordered interstitial mesopores are formed during shell growth, which are connected with the COF's intrinsic micropores, thereby enhancing water sorption. This

The selective hydrogenation of acetylene over laterally condensed Pd and Pd–Au catalysts (LCCs) was investigated using operando X‐ray absorption and photoelectron spectroscopy in combination with density functional theory. Pd‐LCCs were found to incorporate significantly more carbon into the metal lattice than Pd–Au LCCs, where the carbon uptake governs

Role of the Recombination Zone in Organic Light‐Emitting Devices
This review summarizes the critical role of the recombination zone in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). We highlight that broadening the recombination zone in OLEDs based on emissive layers with balanced charge transport and high photoluminescence quantum yields provides a promising route toward achieving both long operational lifetime and high ...

The factors affecting noontime ionospheric NmF2 equinoctial asymmetry over mid-latitude regions
Mid-latitude semiannual noontime NmF2 peaks were analyzed at four North Hemisphere (Boulder, Rome, Wakkanai, Juliusruh) and two South Hemisphere (Hobart, Port Stanley) stations.
