Investigation on the temperature variation of novec-1230 and halon 1301 in a discharge system
The flow inside the aviation engine fire extinguishing system is complicated due to its transient, two-phase and compressible nature. Temperature is one of the important variables of the flow, because it reflects the thermal respect of the physics ...

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Two-phase flow in a narrow annular channel between stationary and rotating cylinders
The results of a numerical study of three-dimensional two-phase flow in a channel between coaxial cylinders, which arises due to axial pressure drop and rotation of the inner cylinder, are presented.

Mobility and transverse flow visualization using phase variance contrast with spectral domain optical coherence tomography [PDF]
Phase variance-based motion contrast is demonstrated using two phase analysis methods in a spectral domain optical coherence tomography system. Mobility contrast is demonstrated for an intensity matched Intralipid solution placed without flow within ...

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Heat Transfer Deterioration by the Copper Oxide Layer on Horizontal Subcooled Flow Boiling
Water–copper is one of the most common combinations of working fluid and heating surface in high-performance cooling systems. Copper is usually selected for its high thermal conductivity and water for its high heat transfer coefficient, especially in the

Metal cooldown, flow instability, and heat transfer in two-phase hydrogen flow [PDF]
Studies of the properties of five metals with varying tube-wall thickness, with or without and internal coating of trifluorochloroethylene polymer, show that wall characteristics influence flow stability, affect heat transfer coefficients, and influence ...

An intrusion layer in stationary incompressible fluids: Part 1: Periodic waves [PDF]
Waves on a neutrally buoyant intrusion layer moving into otherwise stationary fluid are studied. There are two interfacial free surfaces, above and below the moving layer, and a train of waves is present.

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

A MULTIPHASE FLOW LOOP DESIGN FOR INVESTIGATING THE PARTIAL PHASE SEPARATION IN A PIPE TEE
This article presents a design and commissioning of a multiphase flow loop, which was developed for scrutinizing the partial phase separation characteristics of pipe Tees. Its length is 9m and its primary diameter is 0.078m (3 inches).
