Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development
A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microfluidic formulation parameters. Machine learning models are based on a database of nanoparticle formulations, and models are able to generate unique solutions

An Automated Performance Analysis of a Two Phase Locking Protocol
ANALYST, an interactive protocol performance analyzer, is used to analyze the performance of a two phase locking protocol. ANALYST implements a specification-based methodology for performance analysis of protocols which extracts from an algebraic specification of a protocol a model of its timing behavior.

Ordering of magnetic impurities and tunable electronic properties of topological insulators
We study collective behavior of magnetic adatoms randomly distributed on the surface of a topological insulator. As a consequence of the spin-momentum locking on the surface, the RKKY-type interactions of two adatom spins depend on the direction of the ...

Peptide Sequencing With Single Acid Resolution Using a Sub‐Nanometer Diameter Pore
To sequence a single molecule of Aβ1−42–sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), the aggregate is forced through a sub‐nanopore 0.4 nm in diameter spanning a 4.0 nm thick membrane. The figure is a visual molecular dynamics (VMD) snapshot depicting the translocation of Aβ1−42–SDS through the pore; only the peptide, the SDS, the Na+ (yellow/green) and Cl− (cyan ...

Role of phase synchronisation in turbulence
The role of the phase dynamics in turbulence is investigated. As a demonstration of the importance of the phase dynamics, a simplified system is used, namely the one-dimensional Burgers equation, which is evolved numerically.
