Two-Photon Absorption and Two-Photon-Induced Gain in Perovskite Quantum Dots.
Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2018Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) emerged as a promising class of material for applications in lighting devices, including light emitting diodes and lasers. In this work, we explore nonlinear absorption properties of PQDs showing the spectral signatures and

Spectral profiles of two-photon absorption: Coherent versus two-step two-photon absorption
MRS Proceedings, 2004ABSTRACTWe present a theory of two-photon absorption in solutions which addresses the formation of spectral shapes taking account of the vibrational degrees of freedom. The theory is used to rationalize observed differences between spectral shapes of one- and two-photon absorption. We elaborate on two underlying causes, one trivial and one non-trivial,

Investigations of Thienoacene Molecules for Classical and Entangled Two-Photon Absorption.
Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2018Investigations of the optical effects in thienoacene chromophores with different central atoms were performed. These chromophores provide a basis for the comparison of the linear, two-photon, and entangled two-photon properties in organic molecules with ...

Two-photon absorption in nitrobenzol
Journal of Optics A: Pure and Applied Optics, 1999When nitrobenzol is illuminated by an intense picosecond pump beam at nm, it displays a two-photon absorption (TPA) phenomenon which can be explained by the presence of the excited states in the calculated level diagram. The combination of TPA and optical Kerr effect leads to a strong modulation of the transmission of a probe beam in the presence of a

Two-photon absorption and saturable absorption of mid-IR in graphene
Applied Physics Letters, 2018We report on the response of graphene to high intensity mid-IR radiation and show that graphene exhibits saturable absorption and significant two-photon absorption in the spectral region of 1.55 μm to 3.50 μm (0.35 eV to 0.80 eV).

[Two-photon absorption spectrum].
Guang pu xue yu guang pu fen xi = Guang pu, 2004Two-photon absorption (TPA) spectrum of a new organic compound has been directly measured by an approach of using tunable laser from an optical parameter amplifier as an excitation source. The output intensity of optical parameter amplifier can cover a broad spectra range of 400-2,000 nm, and identical intensity in the whole spectral range can be ...

Two-Photon Absorption Characterization
1988Abstract : Magnetooptical measurements of Hg(1-x)Cd(x)Te alloys have provided a new means of studying impurities and defects in this important II-VI material. Two-photon magnetoabsorption (TMPA) has been used to accurately determine the temperature dependence of the energy gap of various HgCdTe alloys, revealing behavior that deviates from currently ...

Abstract The two-photon absorption spectrum of CuCl at 4.2°K is studied in the energy range of the excitonic lines. The observed lines are suggested to be due to the creation of excitons in the 1S, 2P and 3P states and also to the simultaneous creation of 2P and 3P excitons and one or more longitudinal optical phonons.

THEORY OF TWO-PHOTON ABSORPTION
Canadian Journal of Physics, 1967The two-photon absorption process is discussed using a density matrix formalism. The electromagnetic field is described by means of coherent states, a technique that permits a simple evaluation of the effect of coherence on the transition probability. It is concluded that the latter is the same for a coherent and an incoherent pulse of radiation.
