On-demand single-photon state generation via nonlinear absorption

open access: yes, 2004
We propose a method for producing on-demand single-photon states based on collision-induced exchanges of photons and unbalanced linear absorption between two single-mode light fields.

A novel approach towards two-photon absorption based detectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Summary: We have demonstrated that the inherent inefficiency of the TPA process in semiconductors can be overcome by incorporating the semiconductor in a microcavity structure.

Entangled Two Photon Absorption Cross Section on the 808 nm Region for the Common Dyes Zinc Tetraphenylporphyrin and Rhodamine B. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physical Chemistry A, 2016
We report the measurement of the entangled two-photon absorption (ETPA) cross section, σE, at 808 nm on organic chromophores in solution in a low photon flux regime.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Photon Pair Source based on PPLN‐Waveguides for Entangled Two‐Photon Absorption

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research
Fluorescence excitation by absorption of entangled photon pairs offers benefits compared to classical imaging techniques, such as the attainment of higher signal levels at low excitation power while simultaneously mitigating phototoxicity.

Photon-photon correlations and entanglement in doped photonic crystals

open access: yes, 2000
We consider a photonic crystal (PC) doped with four-level atoms whose intermediate transition is coupled near-resonantly with a photonic band-gap edge.

Efficient non-degenerate two-photon excitation for fluorescence microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Non-degenerate two-photon excitation (ND-TPE) has been explored in two-photon excitation microscopy. However, a systematic study of the efficiency of ND-TPE to guide the selection of fluorophore excitation wavelengths is missing. We measured the relative

Mid-infrared two-photon absorption in an extended-wavelength InGaAs photodetector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate the nonlinear optical response of a commercial extended-wavelength In0.81Ga0.19As uncooled photodetector. Degenerate two-photon absorption in the mid-infrared range is observed using a quantum cascade laser emitting at λ = 4.5 μm as the ...

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

One photon and two photon process in photo-decomposition of germanium oxygen deficient centres

open access: yes, 1998
UV photon-induced transformation of germanium oxygen deficient centres (GODC) in germanium-doped silica glass have been studied using photocurrent measurements, absorption and fluorescence bleaching.
