Permanent Plasma Surface Functionalization of Internal Surface Areas
With applications in various fields including biomedical sciences, textiles, or filter industry, stable functionalization of porous membranes is indispensable. Plasma‐activated species with specific reactivities infiltrate porous substrates at different penetration depths due to their distinct energies and diffusivities.

Bell polynomials and generalized Laplace transforms [PDF]
An extension of the Laplace transform obtained by using the Laguerre-type exponentials is first shown. Furthermore, the solution of the Blissard problem by means of the Bell polynomials, gives the possibility to associate to any numerical sequence a Laplace-type transform depending on that sequence.

4D Printed Self‐Deploying Bio‐Based Scaffolds for the Regeneration of Endoluminal Tissue
A bilayer self‐deploying tubular C‐shaped scaffold, made of natural polymers and triggerable by humidity, is fabricated via 4D printing for the regeneration of gastro‐intestinal tissue. The choice of the materials and their spatial arrangement is guided by physical and biological evaluation, whereas the geometry of the structure is optimized through ...

Laplace transforms and valuations [PDF]
It is proved that the classical Laplace transform is a continuous valuation which is positively GL$(n)$ covariant and logarithmic translation covariant. Conversely, these properties turn out to be sufficient to characterize this transform.

Electrospinning enables the hierarchical assembly of nanofiber‐based scaffolds for tissue engineering. However, encapsulated proteins often undergo structural changes. This study used mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) as protective carriers, mitigating protein denaturation and supporting controlled release.

Numerical methods for computing the discrete and continuous Laplace transforms [PDF]
We propose a numerical method to spline-interpolate discrete signals and then apply the integral transforms to the corresponding analytical spline functions. This represents a robust and computationally efficient technique for estimating the Laplace transform for noisy data. We revisited a Meijer-G symbolic approach to compute the Laplace transform and

Photochromic compounds are versatile ingredients for the development of Chemical AI. When they are embedded in a tight microenvironment, they become Markov blankets. They are also valuable for processing Boolean and Fuzzy logic. They contribute to neuromorphic engineering in wetware based on opto‐chemical signals exchanged with oscillatory chemical ...

Abstract Some of the most fundamental assumptions in the design of iterative learning control (ILC) for uncertain systems are the strict repetitiveness (i.e. iteration‐independence) of uncertainties in all factors of plant dynamic, external disturbances, initial conditions, and reference trajectory, which may not always hold in practical applications ...

On the q-analogue of Laplace transform [PDF]
In this paper, we consider a q-analogue of Laplace transform and we investigate some properties of q-Laplace transform. From our investigation, we derive some interesting formulae related to q-Laplace transform.

Special asymmetric structures with interfacial thermal resistance characteristics can not only provide time for droplet ejection by inhibiting the nucleation process inside the microstructure but also synchronously reduce droplet adhesion and increase the driving force during the droplet retraction stage by enhancing the horizontal Laplace force ...
