Hydrogen injection in two-stroke reciprocating gas engines
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 1983Abstract A research study in the field of hydrogen-fed engines aims to obtain sufficient maximum power and to avoid any combustion anomaly which might prevent the engine from operating in normal conditions. Thus to investigate the direct injection of hydrogen into the cylinder, with the aim of better combustion with subsequent higher specific outputs,

The Two-Stroke Rotary Diesel Engine
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1999<div class="htmlview paragraph">An innovative rotary engine uses a rotor that executes pendulum-like oscillatory rotation. This is converted into uniform rotation of the drive shaft by a simple mechanism. The new design is compact, lightweight and powerful.

Progress in Two-Stroke S.I. Engines
1996Thanks to its lightness, small dimensions and attractive simplicity, the two-stroke, S.I. engine may be potentially preferable to the four-stroke one for city cars and other small vehicles. However, the loss of fresh mixture from the exhaust port, together with bad combustion and/or misfire at light loads constitute great limitations.
