Bifurcations and Exact Traveling Wave Solutions in Two Nonlinear Wave Systems

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2021
This paper studies two nonlinear wave models. From the dynamical systems approach and using the singular traveling wave theory developed by [Li & Chen, 2007], all possible bounded solutions (solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions, as well as kink and anti-kink wave solutions) are obtained under different parameter conditions.

On the wave solutions of two-mode equations

Tbilisi Mathematical Journal, 2021
In this work, we consider that the two-mode equations, especially two-mode Korteweg-de Vries equation and two-mode Sharma-Tasso-Olver equations, which are used for modelling of shallow water waves, electromagnetism, electrical and electronics engineering, signal analysis, quantum mechanics etc.

A Two–Scale Solution Algorithm for the Elastic Wave Equation

SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2009
Operator-based upscaling is a two-scale algorithm that speeds up the solution of the wave equation by producing a coarse grid solution which incorporates much of the local fine-scale solution information. We present the first implementation of operator upscaling for the elastic wave equation.

The periodic wave solutions for two systems of nonlinear wave equations

Chinese Physics, 2003
The periodic wave solutions for the Zakharov system of nonlinear wave equations and a long–short-wave interaction system are obtained by using the F-expansion method, which can be regarded as an overall generalization of Jacobi elliptic function expansion proposed recently.

On Traveling Wave Solutions of Fisher's Equation in Two Spatial Dimensions

SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2000
Based on the results for the one-dimensional Fisher equation, the authors of this paper derive analytical representations of several traveling wave solutions for the two dimensional Fisher equations. Some of the solutions are found in explicit form, others are constructed approximately, which means that the authors have constructed solutions for two ...
