BackgroundThe triglyceride glucose (TyG) index has been proved to be a reliable marker of diabetic kidney disease (DKD).ObjectiveWe further investigated the association between TyG index, and its derivative, triglyceride-glucose body mass index (TyG-BMI),

Unsupervised clustering of 295 Japanese adults with impaired glucose tolerance identified three distinct prediabetes subtypes based on HbA1c, HOMA‐β, HOMA‐IR, and HDL‐cholesterol. These subtypes showed different risks of developing type 2 diabetes and varied responses to lifestyle intervention over 6 years.

Background Insulin resistance is linked to an increased risk of frailty, yet the comprehensive relationship between the triglyceride glucose-body mass index (TyG-BMI), which reflects weight, and frailty, remains unclear. This relationship is investigated

Associations between triglyceride glucose-body mass index and cardiovascular, renal, hepatic and bone biomarkers in patients with type 2 diabetes: a single-center, cross-sectional study [PDF]
BackgroundType 2 diabetes (T2D) is a prevalent chronic metabolic disorder with significant global health implications, characterized by elevated blood glucose levels and a cluster of cardiometabolic risk factors. The triglyceride glucose-body mass index (

Elevated TyG‐Age significantly increases the risk of heart failure in diabetic patients. Furthermore, combining TyG‐Age with the TRS‐HFDM score greatly enhances predictive capability and mortality risk assessment for these patients. ABSTRACT Background Patients with diabetes are at an increased risk of heart failure.

Abstract Background The triglyceride‐glucose body mass index (TyG‐BMI) is a novel indicator combining an insulin resistance proxy (TyG index) with adiposity. It remains unclear how TyG‐BMI relates to long‐term mortality risk in postmenopausal women, a group prone to metabolic changes after menopause.

The relationship of serum klotho levels and triglyceride glucose index-related indicators
Background Klotho, an anti-aging protein, is linked to energy metabolism. There is limited research on the association of serum klotho and triglyceride glucose (TyG) index-related indicators.

Association of triglyceride-glucose-body mass index with all-cause mortality among individuals with cardiovascular disease: results from NHANES [PDF]
BackgroundThe objective of this study was to explore the relationship between the triglyceride-glucose-body mass index (TyG-BMI) and all-cause mortality rate and to determine valuable predictive factors for the survival status of patients with ...

Association between triglyceride glucose-body mass index and obstructive sleep apnea: a study from NHANES 2015–2018 [PDF]
BackgroundThe association between TyG-BMI index and the risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a recently identified biomarker indicating insulin resistance, has yet to be elucidated. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the association between TyG-
