Interaction and Joint Effects of Inflammation and Triglyceride–Glucose (TyG) Index on Hyperuricemia Risk and the Mediating Role of TyG: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Among 5307 southern Chinese adults, higher TyG index and mINFLA score were associated with increased HUA risk and serum UA levels (p trend < 0.001). A significant interaction was observed between these two indicators. Notably, the TyG index mediated 15.4% of the mINFLA‐HUA association and 14.5% of the mINFLA‐UA association.

Association of Triglyceride Glucose-Derived Indices with Recurrent Events Following Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

open access: yesJournal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome
Background : Triglyceride glucose (TyG) and TyG-body mass index (TyG-BMI) are reliable surrogate indices of insulin resistance and used for risk stratification and outcome prediction in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD).

Association of triglyceride glucose-body mass index and hemoglobin glycation index with heart failure prevalence in hypertensive populations: a study across different glucose metabolism status

open access: yesLipids in Health and Disease
Background The Triglyceride glucose-body mass index (TyG-BMI) and hemoglobin glycation index (HGI) are well-established surrogate markers for insulin resistance.

Letter regarding "Association between triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and risk of depression in middle-aged and elderly Chinese adults: Evidence from a large national cohort study." [PDF]

open access: yes
This correspondence addresses the recent study by Xu et al. examining the relationship between the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and depression in older Chinese adults.

Determination of the Optimal Cut‐Off Point of Anthropometric Indices to Predict the Risk of Metabolic Syndrome in Iranian Adult Population With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A Cross‐Sectional‐Analytical Study

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Anthropometric indices are effective markers for MetS risk in T2DM patients. ABSTRACT Aims Metabolic syndrome (MetS) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are two diseases that are related to each other and the presence of both can increase the risk of heart attack and death.

Surrogate indices of insulin resistance using the Matsuda index as reference in adult men—a computational approach [PDF]

open access: yes
Background: Overweight and obesity, high blood pressure, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, and insulin resistance (IR) are strongly associated with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and cancer ...

Association of Body Roundness Index, Lipid Accumulation Product, and Triglyceride‐Glucose Index With Psoriasis: A Systematic Review of Observational Studies

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Lipid dysregulation plays a crucial role in psoriasis pathogenesis and its cardiometabolic comorbidities. Novel anthropometric indices such as Body Roundness Index (BRI), Lipid Accumulation Product (LAP), and Triglyceride‐Glucose (TyG) index have been proposed to better reflect underlying metabolic dysfunction and may be ...

Diagnostic Accuracy of the Triglyceride-Glucose Derived Indices in Detecting Metabolic Syndrome in Pediatric Patients

open access: yesJournal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome
Background : Given the challenges associated with direct insulin measurements, several surrogate markers combining both anthropometric data and laboratory tests (such as glucose and lipid levels) have been developed.

Impact of Cardiometabolic Risk Markers on the Incidence and Progression Arterial Stiffness in Patients With Prediabetes

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 18, Issue 5, May 2026.
Early blood pressure management may offer a more effective strategy to prevent vascular complications in this population. ABSTRACT Background Previous studies have reported that insulin resistance (IR), blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and dyslipidemia are associated with arterial stiffness.

Association of triglyceride glucose body mass index with osteoporosis risks in a large Chinese adult cohort [PDF]

open access: yes
BackgroundInsulin resistance (IR) is implicated in bone metabolism dysregulation, but the role of Triglyceride Glucose Body Mass Index (TyG-BMI), a surrogate marker integrating lipid-glucose metabolism and adiposity, in osteoporosis risk remains ...
