Properties of type-2 fuzzy sets
2017 International Conference on Fuzzy Theory and Its Applications (iFUZZY), 2017In the paper, new definition of type-2 fuzzy sets (T2 FSs) are introduced, and then some basic concepts such as unit fuzzy set, embedded unit fuzzy sets, closure of support (CoS), restriction of type-2 fuzzy set at a point, etc. and partition of CoS is given to represent general type-2 fuzzy sets, finally, the connections among the restriction of T2 ...

Non-stationary type-2 fuzzy sets
Proceedings of the 10th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, 2012In this paper, we introduce non-stationary type-2 fuzzy set (NST2FS), which is the important extension of its type-1 counterpart. NST2FS has distinct characteristics with uncertain membership function and alteration over time. According to different mathematical formalizations of its instantaneous T2FS (IT2FS), NST2FS can be divided into two categories,

Three-way decisions based on type-2 fuzzy sets and interval-valued type-2 fuzzy sets
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2016This paper investigates three-way decisions of type-2 fuzzy sets and interval-valued type-2 fuzzy sets based on partially ordered sets. First, the partially ordered sets, constituted by fuzzy truth values and interval-valued fuzzy truth values, are established, respectively. They serve as the basic structures of three-way decision spaces.

Working with Type-2 Fuzzy Sets
2017This chapter explains how to work with type-2 fuzzy sets (T2 FSs). Most of its topics are needed in the rest of this book. Coverage includes: set-theoretic operations (union, intersection, and complement) for general type-2 fuzzy sets (GT2 FSs) computed using the Extension Principle, set-theoretic operations for interval type-2 fuzzy sets (IT2 FSs ...

Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Rough Sets and Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Closure Spaces
2015The purpose of the present work is to establish a one-to-one cor- respondence between the family of interval type-2 fuzzy reexive/toleranc e approximation spaces and the family of interval type-2 fuzzy closure spaces.

This chapter explains why I started working on type-2 fuzzy sets and systems and the contributions made by my students, colleagues and myself to this field. It also predicts a very rosy outlook for this field.
