Constructive Type-Logical Supertagging With Self-Attention Networks [PDF]
We propose a novel application of self-attention networks towards grammar induction. We present an attention-based supertagger for a refined type-logical grammar, trained on constructing types inductively.

Computational coverage of type logical grammar: The Montague test [PDF]
It is nearly half a century since Montague made his contributions to the field of logical semantics. In this time, computational linguistics has taken an almost entirely statistical turn and mainstream linguistics has adopted an almost entirely non-formal methodology. But in a minority approach reaching back before the linguistic revolution, and to the

Semi-automated Extraction of a Wide-Coverage Type-Logical Grammar for French.
Cet article décrit le développement d'une grammaire catégorielle à large couverture du Français, extraite à partir du corpus arboré de Paris 7 et vérifiée et corrigée manuellement. Le gram- maire catégorielle résultant est évaluée en utilisant un supertagger et obtient des résultats comparables aux meilleurs supertaggers pour l'Anglais.

Logical Foundations for Hybrid Type-Logical Grammars [PDF]
This paper explores proof-theoretic aspects of hybrid type-logical grammars , a logic combining Lambek grammars with lambda grammars. We prove some basic properties of the calculus, such as normalisation and the subformula property and also present both a sequent and a proof net calculus for hybrid type-logical grammars.

Spurious Ambiguity and Focalization [PDF]
Spurious ambiguity is the phenomenon whereby distinct derivations in grammar may assign the same structural reading, resulting in redundancy in the parse search space and inefficiency in parsing.

Syntactic, Semantic, and Pragmatic Representations of Adjacent Verbs in Persian Language: An Analysis Based on Role and Reference Grammar (RRG) [PDF]
In our ordinary and everyday speech and in the informal and colloquial contexts in general, we encounter the use of constructions, in which two verbs appear in a “verb-verb” situation, thus making a complex predicate construction, such as "kešid bordeš",

Generative Grammar: A Meaning First Approach
The theory of language must predict the possible thought—signal (or meaning—sound or sign) pairings of a language. We argue for a Meaning First architecture of language where a thought structure is generated first.

Malay and Cebuano ditransitives: A minimalist perspective
In the tradition of the generative school of thought in linguistics, the Universal Grammar (UG) is in the forefront in shifting linguistics from behavioral to cognitive science making linguistics an integral part of the study of cognition (Bocckx 2008:6-
