The sample for this study consisted of 2,533 Latino adults, including Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, and other Latinos.

The respondents mentioned some advantages and disadvantages of patient-care facilities of both types; their answers denoted a shaping demand for medical care provided by an inpatient facility of a certain type.
