Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Energy dependence of the 16O + 12C potential of interaction [PDF]
The 16O + 12C scattering data originating from various measurements in the energy range from 1 to 100 MeV/nucleon have been analyzed within optical model (OM).

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Precision Calculations for Associated WH and ZH Production at Hadron Colliders
Recently the next-to-next-to-leading order QCD corrections and the electroweak O(alpha) corrections to the Higgs-strahlung processes ppbar/pp -> WH/ZH + X have been calculated. Both types of corrections are of the order of 5-10%.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Bajocian-Bathonian strata of the north-eastern regions of Western Siberia: geological structure, seismic stratigraphy, zoning by seismic sections types [PDF]
The paper presents data on the geological structure of the Malyshev and Leontyev Formations in the northeastern regions of Western Siberia. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the seismic wave pattern of the Jurassic interval of the section on a series ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

On Sectional Curvature of Boggino-Damek-Ricci Type Spaces
Let \(\{{\mathfrak n},( ,)_{\mathfrak n}\}\) be a 2-step nilpotent metric Lie algebra, \(z\) its center and \(v\) the orthogonal complement of \(z\). Let \(a=\mathbb{R} A\) be a one-dimensional real vector space. For \(k>0\) one defines an action \(f\) of \(a\) on \({\mathfrak n}\) by \(f(A)V=kV/2\), \(f(A)Z=kZ\), \(V\in v\), \(Z\in z\).

The Welfare Economics of Moral Hazard [PDF]
This paper shows that, except in certain limiting cases, competitive equilibrium with moral hazard is constrained inefficient. The first section compares the competitive equilibrium and the constrained social optimum in a fairly general model, and ...
