Fibromatous Tumor (Desmoid Type) of the Orbit
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1979A case of a desmoid tumor originally appeared as an orbital mass lesion in a 63-year-old woman. This is a most unusual location for this tumor and, to our knowledge, only one previous case of this type has been reported in the ophthalmic literature.

Haptoglobin types in ovarian tumors.
Neoplasma, 1983Haptoglobin types were determined in 132 patients with cancer of ovaries and 114 patients with nonmalignant tumors of the ovaries, respectively. In comparison with a normal population significant increase in the frequency of Hp1 gene in the both pathological groups was observed. It was mostly reflected in a lower occurrence of haptoglobin type 2-2.

A Tumorous Type of Pulmonary Rhabdomyomatous Dysplasia
Pathology - Research and Practice, 1998We report an extraordinary case of tumorous type of rhabdomyomatous dysplasia without any other malformation in a fetus of 23 weeks gestation. Histologically, autopsy showed distinctive striated muscle tissue in the upper and middle lobes of the right lung.

Tumor Type Is a Determinant of Susceptibility to Apoptosis
American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1995Little quantitative data exist on the extent of apoptosis (genetically-mediated cell deletion) in different human tumor types. Hematoxylin and eosin-stained paraffin sections of 102 malignant tumors (58 types) were evaluated for apoptotic cells and apoptotic bodies, using the 40x objective with a calibrated eye-piece and avoiding necrotic zones.

Malignant tumor, of the gastrointestinal stromal tumor type, in the greater omentum
Journal of Gastroenterology, 2003We report herein a rare case of gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) type, arising from the greater omentum. A 65-year-old man who had a large abdominal tumor was referred to our hospital. Ultrasonography (US) and computed tomography (CT) scans showed a mass occupying almost the entire abdomen anterior to the bowel loops.
