A typology for the classification of disasters
Community Mental Health Journal, 1980A model that can be used to classify various types of dasasters is presented. The model allows for disasters to be classified along five criteria: (1) type of disaster (acts of God as opposed to man made), (2) duration of disaster, (3) degree of personal impact, (4) potential for occurrence, and (5) control over future impact.

2018In this paper, we develop and discuss a classification scheme that allows us to distinguish between the types of diagrams used in mathematical research based on the cognitive support offered by diagrams. By cognitive support, we refer to the gain that research mathematicians get from using diagrams.
