Abstract SHRIMP U-Pb zircon geochronology of the Narryer Gneiss Complex of the Yilgarn Craton, Australia, has confirmed that its eastern half contains abundant early Archaean gneisses (3300–3730 Ma), but has found gneisses with ages of only 3000 Ma or less in its western half.

Isotopic U–Pb-SHRIMP dating of Mugodzhari eclogites (Kazakhstan)

In the extreme south of the Urals, zircons from eclogites and amphibolite were dated in metamorphites of the East Mugodzhar zone. Of the 4 eclogite samples, close (and the most “ancient” – 520±4 million years) concordant age values were obtained in 3 samples, which probably corresponds to the age of the protolith.

ترکیب عمومی توده گرانیتوئیدی چلتیان که در منتهی‌الیه جنوب‌شرقی زون سنندج-سیرجان قرار گرفته است، ترونجمیتی Al پایین با ماهیت تولئیتی تا ترانزیشنال می‌باشد. این توده درون نهشته‌های رسوبی-آتشفشانی اوایل مزوزوئیک نفوذ نموده است. برپایه سن‌سنجی بلورهای زیرکن که به روش(SHRIMP) Pb-U انجام شد، سن توده مورد مطالعه187.5±3.2 میلیون سال برآورد شده است.
