The Olivine Horizon of the Layered Monchegorsk Pluton (Kola Region, Russia): Additional Magma Injection Based on Integrated Geological and Geochronological Data

open access: yesGeosciences, 2023
The paper presents the first SIMS SHRIMP U-Pb data for zircon from an olivine horizon within the Nyud intrusion of the ore-bearing layered Monchegorsk pluton (Monchepluton) in the Kola Region, Russia.

SHRIMP U-Pb zircon dating on Nyainqentanglha granite in central Lhasa block

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2004
The Nyainqentanglha granite, a batholith with an area of 1500 km2 in the central Lhasa block, comprises mainly medium-fine-grained biotite monzonitic granite and medium-coarse-grained biotite monzonitic granite. Their contact relationship suggests that the medium-fine-grained biotite monzonitic granite was crystallized earlier than the medium-coarse ...

Regional high-grade metamorphic peak imprint in zircons from the mafic-ultramafic Jacurici Complex, São Francisco Craton, Brazil

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Geology, 2022
The Cr-rich Jacurici Complex is located at the limit between the Serrinha Block and the Salvador-Curaçá Belt, Northeastern São Francisco Craton. In order to better understand the age span of magmatism and tectonism, we have studied a basement high-grade ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Comparison of SHRIMP U-Pb dating of monazite and zircon

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2004
Monazite dating is an important technique in geochronological studies. However, monazite U-Pb dating by SHRIMP is much less popular than zircon in geochronological applications. This paper compares the results of SHRIMP U-Pb dating of monazites and zircons separated from two granite samples, indicating that monazite SHRIMP U-Pb dating at the Beijing ...

Natural Bone‐Derived Ceramic Scaffolds Functionalized with Chitosan‐Gold, Chitosan‐Magnesium, and Chitosan‐Zinc for Enhanced Antibacterial Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the development of antibacterial ceramic scaffolds derived from natural bovine bone. The bones were processed through sequential boiling and hydrogen peroxide treatment to remove organic matter, producing porous, mineral‐rich scaffolds.
