UCGS: A Usage Control Approach for Grid Services

2007 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Security Workshops (CISW 2007), 2007
The dynamic and multi-institutional nature of the grid environments introduces challenging security issues that demand new technical approaches. But traditional access control models consider static authorization decisions based on subjects'pre-assigned permissions on target objects and focus on a closed system, therefore, they are not suitable for the

Hydrogen production in underground coal gasification (UCG)

Energy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects, 2016
ABSTRACTIn this article, the rationales of the hydrogen production in underground coal gasification are explained. The experimental conditions and process of the underground gasification in the Liuzhuang Mine, Tangshan, Hebei Province are introduced, and the experimental results are analyzed.

Lateral Drilling Technology Tested on UCG Project

IADC/SPE Drilling Conference, 1988
Abstract This case history describes state-of-the-art lateral drilling technology used to complete an underground system of process wells for a UCG project In central Wyoming. The Gas Research Institute and the U.S. Department of Energy funded the project. Eastman Christensen's medium-radius system was selected to drill the wells.

Energy Recovery By UCG - An Alberta Field Test

Annual Technical Meeting, 1977
Abstract Underground coal gasification has been tested in many countries but reached industrial scale application only in Russia. In this process, partial oxidation of coal provides the energy required for gasification and a low-Btu fuel gas is produced.

A discussion of physical and chemical problems pertinent to UCG

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1981
Recent field tests and modeling studies of the underground gasification of coal (UCG) have suggested a number of topical areas which are in need of further investigation. These include linking methods to control link zone geometry; appropriate methods to model reverse conbustion link enhancement (2nd pass linking); the cause of plugging (tars or ash ...

Physical Analog of UCG Single and Multi Cavity Sweep

SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 1981
Tests were conducted in a salt media for the purpose of simulating single- and multi-cavity sweep in underground coal gasification (UCG). Two-dimension tests were run with 1 foot well spacings. Single-column, two-column cavity progression from one set of wells to another set of wells in downstream progression, etc., and three-column tests were like ...

Thomas UCG Fields: The Rupture-Scarred Cosmology of Memory

Thomas UCG Fields proposes a scalar–tensor cosmological framework in which directional memory from an early-universe rupture is preserved as curvature scars. The model defines a divergence field (∇^μJ_μ), tested via GRB clustering and JWST alignments, and includes a Boltzmann hierarchy coupling for future CMB anisotropy integration.
