Two-step resource allocation for BIC-UFMC wireless communications
This paper outlines an efficient resource allocation (RA) algorithm for packet-oriented Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier (UFMC) communications with bit interleaved coded (BIC) modulation. Assuming perfect synchronization and perfect knowledge of the channel, the proposed RA strategy optimizes the coding rate, bit loading and power distribution within ...

Design of Waveform Shaping Filter in the UFMC System
The universal filtered multi-carrier (UFMC) has been taken as a promising candidate for future wireless communication, where a finite impulse response filter is employed to shape the waveform and enhance its resistance to inter-carrier interference.

Entanglement and teleportation in quantum key distribution for secure wireless systems
A quantum entanglement‐aided and teleportation‐based quantum key distribution system is proposed. The proposed protocol uses quantum Fourier transform for its implementation. The proposed protocol can provide enhanced security to wireless systems measured in terms of quantum bit error rate, secure key rate, and reconciliation efficiency.

The response of high-impact blocking weather systems to climate change [PDF]
Mid-latitude weather and climate are dominated by the jet streams and associated eastward-moving storm systems. Occasionally, however, these are blocked by persistent anticyclonic regimes known as blocking.

Study and Analysis of UFMC Technology in 5G Communications
Wireless communication technology plays a significant role in the development of mobile technology. Every user requires their own spectrum. However, spectrum bands are limited. Therefore, the communication system must be efficient. This paper discusses the Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier (UFMC) technology, a new promising technology intended to ...

re‐NHC‐Cu complexes have been synthesized and used as catalyst on CuAAC reactions. Five copper complexes (3a–e) stabilized by ring‐expanded back‐bond functionalized N‐heterocyclic carbene ligands (re‐NHCs) were produced in the glovebox by reacting free re‐NHC with CuI precursor.

Stream water quality can be greatly influenced by changes in agricultural practices, but studies of long‐term dynamics are scarce. Here we describe trends over 21 yr (1994–2014) in nutrients and suspended sediments in three streams in a Midwestern US agricultural watershed. During this time, the watershed experienced substantial changes in agricultural
