Estimates of air pollution mitigation with green plants and green roofs using the UFORE model

Urban Ecosystems, 2008
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of green roofs and green walls on air pollution in urban Toronto. The research looked at the synergistic effects on air pollution mitigation of different combinations of vegetation by manipulating quantities of trees, shrubs, green roofs and green walls in the study area.

Comparing estimates of EMEP MSC-W and UFORE models in air pollutant reduction by urban trees

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2016
There is a growing interest to identify and quantify the benefits provided by the presence of trees in urban environment in order to improve the environmental quality in cities. However, the evaluation and estimate of plant efficiency in removing atmospheric pollutants is rather complicated, because of the high number of factors involved and the ...

Ultra-Fast Optical Routing including Impairment Constraints (UFORIC)

2006 International Conference on Photonics in Switching, 2006
The UFORIC control plane exploits a novel concept of utilising integrity vectors associated with an optical path or payload and processing these vectors using reprogrammable digital logic. UFORIC offers ultra-fast routing and wavelength assignment whilst considering optical impairments for short-lived service requests transported as wavelengths ...

Examination of the Components of UFORE Model Serving the Urban Ecosystem

2019
Nowadays, planning and management of afforestation is gainingimportance. At the same time, trees are important in terms of their servicesand contributions to people and urban ecosystem. The UFORE model is aninternational model used to assess urban tree communities and is a modeldeveloped in the United States.

Kent ağaçlarının çevresel etkileri ve değerinin belirlenmesinde UFORE modelinin kullanımı ve Isparta örneğinde irdelenmesi

2018
