UHF integrated power amplifiers
1969 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference. Digest of Technical Papers, 1969This paper describes the development of integrated UHF power amplifiers using thin-film lumped elements and UHF power-transistor chips. Single-stage hybrid amplifier modules capable of delivering output powers up to 20 watts CW in the frequency range of 225-400 MHz are reported.

The subject of the report was the design and the study of a dual-band micro-strip antenna upon a meta-material substrate, for RFID reader use. The micro-strip antenna was designed for operation at the free UHF bands for RFIDs (866-912 MHz). A meta-material substrate used was of (EBG_ HIGP) type which has the attribute to reflect the incident wave in ...

This paper presents a dedicated UHF reader antenna to be mounted inside a pharmaceutical cabinet for RFID reading of UHF tags attached to pharmaceutical items. The proposed solution is based on a group of four circularly polarized patch antennas. The antennas' simulated and measured performances are presented.

Thus, the quality standards which can be used for checking the Q-meters at ultrahigh frequencies have a simple and reliable design which ensures the stability of their parameters with time. The error in certifying these standards by means of a mass-produced measuring line and a calculated load does not exceed ±3%.

The fundamental characteristics and structure of a strip transmission line isolator which operates to frequencies as low as 200 Mc are reported. This structure does not utilize dielectric material as a mode distorting material to create the necessary conditions for nonreciprocal wave propagation, but instead depends on the asymmetrical placement of the

UHF Propagation in Indoor Hallways
IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2004A new model for UHF propagation in large buildings is presented. This model relies on knowledge of the interior arrangement of the building without requiring much detail. The guiding of radiation along hallways is the most significant propagation process at distances of more than 10 m from the transmitter.

A balanced upconverter circuit has been developed in planar transmission line configuration using NEC GaAs beam lead Schottky barrier diodes. RF power output of +1.6 dBm SSB is obtained at Ka-band when up converter is driven by +17 dBm IF and +20 dBm LO signal.

A cost-effective integration of passive UHF RFID tags and sensors is still a challenge. In such a field, authors have already proposed a label-type multi-antenna Sensor-Tag, an RFID device accepting as input a generic sensor and allowing the transmission of the measured data towards a standard RFID reader.

Broadband UHF flexible vivaldi antenna
2013 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2013A novel Vivaldi flexible antenna with a -6 dB bandwidth from 150 MHz up to 900 MHz is presented. The whole antenna is realized on a 600 × 600 mm2 silicone foam substrate. In this paper we describe the design, the realization and the performances of this high gain and directive antenna.
