Classification of limits of upper triangular matrix algebras. [PDF]
Let Tn be the operator algebra of upper triangular n × n complex matrices. Three families of limit algebras of the form lim (Tnk) are classified up to isometric algebra isomorphism: (i) the limit algebras arising when the embeddings Tnk→Tnk+1, are ...

Actions on classifiable C*‐algebras without equivariant property (SI)
Abstract We exhibit examples of actions of countable discrete groups on both simple and non‐simple nuclear stably finite C*‐algebras that are tracially amenable but not amenable. We furthermore obtain that, under the additional assumption of strict comparison, amenability is equivalent to tracial amenability plus the equivariant analogue of Matui–Sato ...

Period two automorphisms of UHF C∗-algebras
Recently [7] Fack and Marechal classified the product symmetries of a UHF C*-algebra. Among these product symmetries there is a distinguished element si, whose fixed point algebra is UHF. (Since they dealt with product symmetries all fixed point algebras are automatically AF.) The symmetry s: is characterized, among product symmetries, by the property ...

Calculating Radio Emissions of Positive Streamer Phenomena Using 3D Simulations
Abstract We study radio emissions from positive streamers in air using 3D simulations, from which the radiated electric field is computed by solving Jefimenko’s equations. The simulations are performed at 0.5bar $0.5\,\mathrm{b}\mathrm{a}\mathrm{r}$ using two photoionization methods: the Helmholtz approximation for a photon density and a Monte Carlo ...

This research describes signal processing techniques useful to highlight and contrast enhance human brain vessels detected with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The signal is here represented as multiplication between image intensity and the sum of second‐order partial derivatives of the model function fitted to MRI data. The implication of this novel

Open‐source practices and resources in MRI have increased substantially in recent years. These advancements have fostered a culture of sharing and establishing nonexclusive global collaborations, leading to improved reproducibility and reusability of code and devices. Abstract Open‐source practices and resources in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have

Strongly outer group actions on UHF algebras
We show that for any countable discrete maximally almost periodic group [Formula: see text] and any UHF algebra [Formula: see text], there exists a strongly outer product type action [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text] on [Formula: see text ...

STATE EXTENSIONS OF STATES ON UHFnALGEBRA TO CUNTZ ALGEBRA [PDF]
Summary: Let \(\eta= \{\eta_m\}_m\) be an eventually constant sequence of unit vectors \(\eta_m\) in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) and let \(\rho_\eta\) be the pure state on UHF\(_n\) algebra which is defined by \(\rho_\eta (v_{i_1}, \cdots, v_{i_k}v^*_{j_k} \cdots v^*_{j_1})= \overline {\eta_1^{i_1} \cdots \eta_k^{i_k}} \eta_k^{j_k} \cdots\eta_1^{j_1}\).

Classification of uniformly outer actions of Z2 on UHF algebras
We give a complete classification up to cocycle conjugacy of uniformly outer actions of Z2 on UHF algebras. In particular, it is shown that any two uniformly outer actions of Z2 on a UHF algebra of infinite type are cocycle conjugate.
