R. F. testing of the third generation defense communication satellite [PDF]

open access: yes
The approach taken to test a completed DSCS communications satellite on a system level is described. Areas to be described are measuring RF isolation of separate communications subsystems and a test method which insures that one RF subsystem does not ...

Wide-Band UHF Television Receiving Antennas

open access: yesThe Journal of the Institute of Television Engineers of Japan, 1969

Analysis of Silver Ink Bow-Tie RFID Tag Antennas Printed on Paper Substrates

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2007
In this study, polymeric silver inks, paper substrates, and screen printing were used to produce prototype Bow-Tie tags. Because of increasing interest in applying passive UHF-RFID systems in paper industry, the Bow-Tie antenna used in this study was ...

Propagation effects by roadside trees measured at UHF and L-band for mobile satellite systems [PDF]

open access: yes
Propagation field tests were performed in Central Maryland and involved a helicopter and mobile van as the source and receiving platforms, respectively. Tests were implemented at both UHF (870 MHz) and L-band (1.5 GHz) during a period in which the trees ...

A Novel Planar Microstrip Antenna Design for UHF RFID [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, 2007
Passive UHF RFID tags generally do not work well near metal or water. Microstrip antennas offer a potential solution, but suffer from manufacturing complexity because a need for via or some other reference to ground. We present a new antenna and matching
