Brain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 7, July 2026.This graphical abstract illustrates the experiences of acute stroke survivors with dysphagia through the four adaptive modes of the Roy Adaptation Model. Dysphagia affected physiological functioning, self‐concept, role performance, and social relationships, while family and healthcare professional support facilitated adaptation.
