Survival Outcomes of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Patients Who Underwent Salvage Esophagectomy: A Literature Review and Results From Two High‐Volume Centers
Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView. This study aimed to investigate survival outcomes, the efficacy of lymph node (LN) dissection, and recurrence patterns in 69 patients who underwent R0 salvage surgery for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Of note, abdominal LN metastases had a negative impact on survival in our series.Kotaro Sugawara, Koichi Yagi, Takashi Fukuda, Shoh Yajima, Daiji Oka, Yoshiyuki Miwa, Shuichiro Oya, Asami Okamoto, Raito Asaoka, Yoshifumi Baba +9 morewiley +1 more sourceA strange ulcer

Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView. The sigmoid colon was the most common perforation site among patients with colonic diverticular perforation. The patients' conditions, length of hospital stay, and hospitalization cost were significantly worse in left‐sided colon diverticular perforation than in right‐sided colon diverticular perforation. The clinical characteristics differed according Minoru Fujita, Noriaki Manabe, Munenori Takaoka, Masaharu Higashida, Hideo Matsumoto, Atsushi Urakami, Tomoki Yamatsuji, Tomio Ueno, Jiro Hata, Ken Haruma, Collaborators, Hisako Kubota, Jiro Hayashi, Masaki Matsubara, Takako Konishi, Emiko Bukeo, Tomohiro Tanikawa, Jun Nakamura, Mitsuhiko Suehiro, Maki Ayaki, Takahisa Murao, Kazuhiro Yoshida, Takashi Akiyama, Katsuya Kato, Hirofumi Kawamoto, Tomoari Kamada, Akiko Shiotani, Minoru Haisa, Yoshio Naomoto, Toshihiro Hirai +29 morewiley +1 more sourceHydrogel‐Based Smart Materials for Wound Healing and Sensing
Aggregate, EarlyView. The graphical abstract illustrates the role of hydrogel‐based flexible materials in advancing biomedical applications, including wound healing, point‐of‐care diagnostics, smart patches, and wearable devices. Hydrogels are particularly promising in modern wound care due to their high‐water content, flexibility, and biocompatibility.Thi Kim Ngan Duong, Thi Thuy Truong, Thi Nhat Linh Phan, Thi Xuan Nguyen, Vu Hoang Minh Doan, Truong Tien Vo, Jaeyeop Choi, Umapada Pal, Prodyut Dhar, Byeongil Lee, Junghwan Oh, Sudip Mondal +11 morewiley +1 more sourceEnhanced Synergistic Photothermal–Chemotherapy in Bacterial Keratitis Treatment Using Halogen‐Bonded Organic Frameworks (XOFs) Based on N⋯Br+⋯N Bonds
Aggregate, EarlyView. Two novel XOFs based on [N···Br+···N] interactions were constructed. The XOFs(Br) deliver superior antibacterial properties compared with XOFs(I), due to a greater oxidation capability. Moreover, XOF(Br)‐TPPA, exhibiting greater hydrophilicity, shows superior antibacterial properties relative to XOF(Br)‐TPPE, which is weakly hydrophilic.Zhennan Tian, Shirui Zhou, Yao Qu, Qian Yang, Xuguan Bai, Jiahao Zhao, Hongqiang Dong, Ya Lu, Nan Deng, Lu Wang, Limin Pi, Yang Cheng, Shigui Chen, Wei Liu +13 morewiley +1 more source
