Previous studies of Ulmus pumila Linnaeus and Ulmus rubra Muhlenberg and their hybrid Ulmus x notha Wilhelm and G. Ware were restricted mainly to investigations of Dutch elm disease resistance/breeding for the cultivar trade. Recent studies have focused on and distribution and descriptions of phenotypic characters of these taxa. Ulmus pumila L.

A study of vegetative propagation has been carried out using cuttings of three elm species: Ulmus minor Mill, Ulmus laevis Pall. and Ulmus pumila L. The objective of the study was to determine their survival rate and growth under different concentrations of IBA (indole-3-butyric acid) solutions. The hormonal treatments consisting of 0, 2,000, 3,000 and

Flora - Morphology, Distribution, Functional Ecology of Plants, 2011
Abstract The potential natural distribution of deciduous forests in Central Asia is the subject of ongoing discussions. Ulmus pumila (Siberian elm) is the only tree species occurring in southern and south-eastern Mongolia. In the semi-arid Mongolian Gobi, the species is restricted to ravines and beds of semi-temporary rivers.

Effect of humic fertilizer on the growth and development of Ulmus pumila L. hybrids
PrirodoobustrojstvoIn arid regions, forest strips are one of the most important natural resources. The use of modern preparations that improve the growth and development of plants will allow the most complete and effective cultivation of planting material and meet the need for various types of forest products. Squat elm (Ulmus pumila L.) has increased resistance to
