A new flavonoid from the bark of Ulmus pumila L

Biochemical Systematics and Ecology, 2020
Abstract A new flavonoid (6), together with eight (1–5 and 7–9) known flavonoids, were isolated from the n-butyl alcohol soluble portion of the EtOH extract of Ulmus pumila L. The chemical structures of the compounds were determined by using spectroscopic methods and further supported by comparison with previously literature values.

Programmed cell death of Ulmus pumila L. seeds during aging

Frontiers of Forestry in China, 2008
The programmed cell death (PCD) characteristics of Ulmus pumila L. seeds were investigated. The seeds were treated at a high temperature of 37°C and 100% relative humidity for six days. DAPI (4′6-diamidino-2-phenylindole) staining revealed that the aging treatment induced condensation and margination of chromatin, as well as the formation of apoptotic ...

Effects of Different IBA Concentrations on Rooting Capacity of Three Elm Species: Ulmus minor Mill., Ulmus laevis Pall. and Ulmus pumila L.

2020
A study of vegetative propagation has been carried out using cuttings of three elm species: Ulmus minor Mill, Ulmus laevis Pall. and Ulmus pumila L. The objective of the study was to determine their survival rate and growth under different concentrations of IBA (indole-3-butyric acid) solutions. The hormonal treatments consisting of 0, 2,000, 3,000 and

Hepatoprotective and neuroprotective flavanes from the fruits of Ulmus pumila L. (Ulmaceae).

Pakistan journal of pharmaceutical sciences, 2020
Phytochemical study of the EtOAc fraction (active extract) of the fruits of Ulmus pumila L. resulted in the isolation of thirteen flavane derivatives, and they were identified by their precise spectral data and literature. All the compounds (1-13) were obtained from the fruits of U. pumila L. for the first time.

Genetic diversity and relationships among Dutch elm disease tolerantUlmus pumilaL. accessions from China

Genome, 2008
Elm breeding programs worldwide have relied heavily on Asian elm germplasm, particularly Ulmus pumila , for the breeding of Dutch elm disease tolerant cultivars. However, the extent and patterning of genetic variation in Asian elm species is unknown. Therefore, the objective of this research was to determine the extent of genetic diversity among 53 U ...

The characterization, selenylation and anti-inflammatory activity of pectic polysaccharides extracted from Ulmus pumila L.

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2018
The specific objective of this study was to investigate characterization, selenylation, and anti-inflammatory activities of pectic polysaccharides extracted from Ulmus pumila L. (PPU). Four different monosaccharides were found in PPU, including galacturonic acid, galactose, rhamnose, and glucose. FT-IR spectra indicated that pectic polysaccharides were

The extraction efficiency enhancement of polyphenols from Ulmus pumila L. barks by trienzyme-assisted extraction

Industrial Crops and Products, 2017
Abstract This study aimed to optimize trienzyme-assisted extraction (EAE) conditions for total polyphenols (TP) from Ulmus pumila barks (UPB). Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize EAE conditions including pH, temperature, and time. The extraction efficiency of three extraction procedures on the TP yield, antioxidant activities and ...
