ABSTRACT Nerve transfer surgery may be performed to restore sensorimotor function following peripheral nerve trauma or dysfunction. There is biological plausibility and limited correlative evidence that donor‐to‐recipient axon count ratios may impact functional outcomes.

ABSTRACT Percutaneous transaxillary access is an established alternative to transfemoral large‐bore arterial access for transcatheter structural heart interventions and mechanical circulatory support (MCS). Although useful for overcoming hostile iliofemoral anatomy and providing prolonged support and patient mobilization in case of MCS, the axillary ...

Ultrasound Findings in Symptomatic HADD of the Hand and Wrist. A Case Series of 37 Patients
Ultrasound enables accurate diagnosis of hydroxyapatite deposition disease of the hand and wrist in patients with acute, non‐traumatic pain, typically in middle‐aged women. Characteristic calcifications, often in the resorptive phase, support diagnosis, while radiography may confirm findings without the need for advanced imaging.

Zero Time‐to‐Echo Imaging of the Hand and Wrist in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients
ABSTRACT Background Zero time‐to‐echo (ZTE) imaging allows for signal acquisition from tissues with extremely short T2* relaxation times, enabling the generation of computed tomography (CT)‐like images through gray‐scale inversion. Purpose To assess the usefulness of adding ZTE imaging to conventional MRI for the detection of hand and wrist bone ...

Ulnar Shortening Osteotomy by Chun and Palmer Technique in a case of Ulnar Impaction Syndrome
Background: Ulnar-sided wrist pain frequently emerges as a source of upper extremity impairment. Ulnar impaction syndrome gives rise to a range of conditions affecting the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) along with associated injuries to the ...

ABSTRACT Background and Objectives The management of chondromyxoid fibroma (CMF) primarily relies on surgical resection, but simple curettage is reportedly associated with a high local recurrence rate. While extended curettage with high‐speed burring effectively manages other locally aggressive bone tumors, its effectiveness for CMF remains unclear. We

This article introduces a novel, single‐operator stress ultrasound technique for evaluating medial ulnar collateral ligament (MUCL) integrity by assessing medial ulnohumeral joint (MUHJ) widening under valgus stress. Unlike prior methods requiring dual operators, specialized equipment, or the use of hand/wrist weights, this approach was designed for ...

ABSTRACT Peripheral nerve injuries (PNIs) are a common cause of long‐term motor and sensory disability despite advances in microsurgical repair. Functional recovery following PNI depends not only on axonal regeneration, but also on preservation of distal nerve pathways, maintenance of neuromuscular junction integrity, prevention of irreversible muscle ...

Targeted Muscle Reinnervation for Intuitive Prosthetic Control
ABSTRACT The convergence of medical and technological advances has led to a substantial expansion of therapeutic approaches for patients with limb amputations. Targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR) is one of the strategies to improve control of bionic arms and has been applied for more than two decades. Through surgical rewiring of the nerves responsible
