Ultrasound‐Confirmed Median Nerve Pseudoconduction Block due to Anatomical Variation

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Conduction block (CB) at non‐entrapment sites is an important electrodiagnostic (EDX) feature supporting acquired demyelinating neuropathies. However, anatomical variation may produce pseudoconduction block, mimicking true CB.

Ulnar artery vasculopathy in systemic sclerosis

open access: yes, 2009
Although digital ulceration frequently occurs in patients with systemic sclerosis, there have been few reports on macrovascular involvement. Macrovascular disease in systemic sclerosis has recently been described.

Comparison of Different Neostigmine Doses for Reversal of Cisatracurium‐Induced Neuromuscular Block in Children Under Total Intravenous Anesthesia: A Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesPediatric Anesthesia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neostigmine is widely used to reverse nondepolarizing neuromuscular blockade in children, but the optimal dose under total intravenous anesthesia is uncertain. Aims The primary aim was to compare the time to full neuromuscular recovery (TOF ratio of 1.0) following administration of neostigmine at doses of 0, 10, 20, and 30 μg/kg in ...

Pseudoaneurysm of High Origin Ulnar Artery After Penetrating Trauma

open access: yes, 2010
High origin ulnar artery from the brachial artery is rare and lies superficially in the forearm. Its reported frequency ranges from 0.17% to 2%. Pseudoaneurysms of peripheral arteries are very rare, and mostly these are the result of penetrating ...

Median Effective Volume of 0.2% Ropivacaine for Ultrasound‐Guided Axillary Brachial Plexus Block in Children Aged 6–10 Years: A Prospective Dose‐Finding Study Using Up‐and‐Down Sequential Allocation

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
Purpose: This study aimed to determine the median effective volume (EV50) of 0.2% ropivacaine for ultrasound‐guided axillary brachial plexus block (ABPB) in children aged 6–10 years, using the Dixon up‐and‐down method. The EV50 was 0.350 mL/kg (95% CI: 0.197–0.362 mL/kg), calculated by isotonic regression and bootstrapping.

Martin-gruber Anastomosis and Transposition in Cubital Tunnel

open access: yesBiomolecules & Biomedicine, 2008
This describes the indivisible anastomosis of the main stem of median nerve with ulnar nerve through cubital tunnel followed by the anomaly of ulnar artery that appears as superficial ulnar artery.

Bridging the Late Antique Gap in Northwest Arabia: New Archaeological Evidence on the Occupation of Wādī al‐Qurā (al‐ʿUlā [AlUla], Saudi Arabia) Between the Third and Seventh Centuries CE

open access: yesArabian Archaeology and Epigraphy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In 2019, the Dadan Archaeological Project (CNRS/RCU/AFALULA) identified a Late Antique village 1 km south of ancient Dadan in the al‐ʿUlā valley (northwest Saudi Arabia). Three excavation seasons at this site (2021–2023) have uncovered a massive building constructed in the late third or early fourth cent.

Nontraumatic pseudoaneurysm of the proximal ulnar artery with eosinophilia

open access: yes, 2005
Proximal ulnar artery aneurysms, including pseudoaneurysms, have not been described in the English literature. We report a nontraumatic pseudoaneurysm of the proximal ulnar artery with eosinophilia in a 54-year-old man.

Bilateral Supracondylar Process in a Subadult in the Late Antique Age: A Case Report

open access: yesArchaeometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT During the excavation procedures for the railway trait Napoli‐Cancello, in the city of Afragola (Naples), several burials dating back to the Late Antique Age were found. One of them was an amphora burial (enchytrismòs) and contained the skeletal remains of a subadult individual affected by bilateral supracondylar process. Supracondylar process

Transient Hyperparathyroidism and Severe Intrauterine Osteopenia Linked to Novel Homozygous TRPV6 Deletion

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Context Placental calcium (Ca2+) transport is essential for foetal bone mineralisation and development, as well as for Ca2+ homoeostasis. Rare mutations in transient receptor potential vanilloid (TRPV) 6 of the infant cause insufficient maternal‐foetal Ca2+ transport through the placenta.
