Spark plasma sintering using siliceous waste concrete powder

Abstract Spark plasma sintering (SPS) was performed using siliceous waste concrete powder for the effective utilization of waste concrete. The sintering temperature of the SPS compacts was optimized to improve their mechanical properties. Siliceous waste concrete powder was prepared using a pot‐milling procedure of waste concrete.

Abstract The Amazonian loricariid fish Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps, from the Rio Negro, and Pterygoplichthys pardalis, from the Rio Solimões, are facultative air‐breathers that can use the stomach as an air‐breathing organ. Measurement of oxygen uptake under progressive aquatic hypoxia revealed a relatively high hypoxia resistance of both species.

We reviewed a decade of research on bats and conducted a broader systematic review to assess the nature of bat marking practices and the effects and efficacy of marks. Effects of marks on bats, mark details and marking procedures are rarely reported and further research on the effects of marks on bats and more thorough reporting are needed.
