Ultra-fast densification of boron carbide ceramics under high heating rate and high pressure
Ceramics International, 2010Abstract Boron carbide ceramics were obtained in 2 min by a method based on self-propagating high-temperature synthesis plus quick pressing (SHS/QP). The samples were densified to 98% of theoretical density under a large mechanical pressure (120 MPa) and a fast heating rate (2300 °C/min). The microstructure and mechanical properties were studied. Ultra-fast method for solving the heat equation
2020 4th Scientific School on Dynamics of Complex Networks and their Application in Intellectual Robotics (DCNAIR), 2020This article is devoted to the numerical solution of heat equation. The main method of the work based on the assumption of the monotony of unknown function and parallel computations. In paper authors compares proposed method with classical methods.

Lattice Boltzmann Modeling of Ultra-fast Laser Heating
37th AIAA Thermophysics Conference, 2004*In this work, the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is developed to simulate pico- and femtosecond laser heating of silicon. The temperature fields calculated by the LBM are compared with those obtained from the parabolic heat conduction equation (PHCE) and the hyperbolic heat conduction equation (HHCE).

Non-Fourier heat conduction in a thin gold film heated by an ultra-fast-laser
Science China Technological Sciences, 2015Based on the dual-phase-lagging (DPL) heat conduction model, the Cattaneo-Vernotte (CV) model and the improved CV model we investigate the one-dimensional heat conduction in gold films with nano-scale thickness exposed to an ultra-fast laser heating. The influence of system parameters on the temperature field is explored.

In situ ultra-fast heat deposition does not perturb the structure of serum albumin
Photochemical & Photobiological Sciences, 2016MnTPPS is a metallic water soluble porphyrin with high potential to be used as a contrast agent in photoacoustic tomography. In order to fully understand the interaction between MnTPPS and serum albumin and to investigate the effect of the light induced fast in situ heat deposition by MnTPPS in the protein, we performed several experimental studies ...

The effect of ultra-fast heat treatments on the microstructure evolusion of automotive steels

Simulation of ballistic and non-Fourier thermal transport in ultra-fast laser heating
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2004In this work, the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is developed to simulate pico- and femtosecond laser heating of silicon. The temperature fields calculated by the LBM are compared with those obtained from the parabolic heat conduction equation (PHCE) and the hyperbolic heat conduction equation (HHCE). Although the HHCE overcomes the dilemma of infinite

Ultramicroscopy, 2013
Many fundamental processes of structural changes at surfaces occur on a pico- or femtosecond time scale. In order to study such ultra-fast processes, we have combined modern surface science techniques with fs-laser pulses in a pump-probe scheme.
