Mechanical performance of high-strength engineering cementitious composites (ECC) with hybriding PE and steel fibers

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials, 2023
In this paper, the mechanical performance of high-strength ECC with hybriding steel and PE fibers (HF-ECC) was investigated experimentally; meanwhile, the effects of ultra-fine fly ash and crumb rubber on the properties of HF-ECC were also researched ...

Engineering Intelligent Graphene Oxide‐Cellulose Membranes: Suppressing Thermal Runaway for a Safer Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel thermos‐responsive hydroxypropyl cellulose/graphene oxide (HPC/GO) composite membrane is fabricated for reversible temperature‐gated ion transport in aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. Enabled by LCST‐driven structural transition, unimpeded ion diffusion at room temperature delivers high capacity, while elevated temperature suppresses transport; full ...

Effect of Co and Mo content on mechanical properties of metal injection molding high alloy ultra-high strength steels

open access: yesFenmo yejin jishu
Based on the traditional martensitic aging steels, a new type of high alloy ultra-high strength steel powders (Fe–18.0Co–15.0Ni–8.0Mo–3.0Cr–0.5Cu–0.4Nb–0.4V–0.2Al) was designed by increasing the content of Co and Mo elements.

Exploring an Alternative to mRNA Vaccine Cold Chain Storage: MRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticle Stability When Dried in a Polymer Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Direct Punching of Inclined Ultra-High Strength Steel Sheets

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society for Technology of Plasticity, 2013
A direct punching of inclined ultra-high strength steel sheets having low ductility was carried out to improve the quality of the sheared edge. In the direct punching of an inclined sheet, the contact between the sheet and punch became gradual because of touch from the bottom edge of the punch, and thus the sheared portion tended to bend in the latter ...
