BODIPY‐based J‐aggregates: From supramolecular chemistry to NIR bioimaging and phototherapies

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
BODIPY dyes form ordered J‐aggregates through controlled supramolecular self‐assembly, producing narrow, red‐shifted absorption bands with small Stokes shifts. This review highlights design strategies governing J‐aggregation, structure–property relationships, and applications in sensing, bioimaging, and phototherapy, guiding functional BODIPY‐based ...

Metal‐Ion Regulated Light‐Free Z→E Isomerization of Azobenzene Glycomacrocycle

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Metal ion‐catalyzed Z→E isomerization of photoswitchable azobenzene glycomacrocycle: A new azobenzene‐based glycomacrocycle is capable of forming a 1:1 complex with divalent metal ions in both E‐ and Z‐isomers. The complexes undergo light‐free Z→E isomerization in a timescale spanning from seconds to weeks.

Photochemical and Thermal Activation of a Diarylbismuth Azide

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We report the synthesis and characterization of a novel diarylbismuth azide and its divergent reactivity upon thermal or photochemical activation. These findings contribute expanding the reactivity landscape of heavy pnictogen compounds and sets the basis for further investigations. ABSTRACT Azides are widely employed in synthesis as convenient nitrene
