An ultra-wideband origami microwave absorber

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Microwave absorbers have been used to mitigate signal interference, and to shield electromagnetic systems. Two different types of absorbers have been presented: (a) low-cost narrowband absorbers that are simple to manufacture, and (b) expensive wideband ...

Spatiotemporal coherent summation of Ultra-Wideband chaotic radio pulses. Experiment [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Прикладная нелинейная динамика
The purpose of this work is to experimentally prove the physical feasibility of coherent addition of chaotic signals (ultra-wideband chaotic radio pulses) in space and time.

On Rapid Re-Design of UWB Antennas with Respect to Substrate Permittivity

open access: yesMetrology and Measurement Systems, 2016
Re-design of a given antenna structure for various substrates is a practically important issue yet non trivial, particularly for wideband and ultra-wideband antennas. In this work, a technique for expedited redesign of ultra-wideband antennas for various

Ultra-wideband Communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Many applications in wireless communications often require short-range systems capable of rapidly collecting data and transmitting it reliably. Commercial communication systems operate in fixed frequency bands and are easily detectable and are prone to jamming by the enemy, among other shortcomings. The new ultra-wideband (UWB) communications system in

An Efficient Indoor Target Tracking Algorithm Using TDOA Measurements With Applications to Ultra-Wideband Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The ultra-wideband technique has shown its effectiveness for indoor target tracking. Various types of measurements have been applied to ultra-wideband systems for indoor target tracking, and the time difference of arrival (TDOA) measurement-based ...

Wideband Filtering Power Divider With Ultra-Wideband Harmonic Suppression and Isolation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
In this paper, a wideband filtering power divider (PD) with ultra-wideband harmonic suppression and isolation is proposed. The dual coupled-line sections are embedded to the conventional quarter-wavelength transmission lines, which helps to extend the ...

Ultra-Wideband Low-RCS Circularly-Polarized Metasurface-Based Array Antenna Using Tightly-Coupled Anisotropic Element

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
A novel broadband circular-polarized array antenna with ultra-wideband low radar cross section (RCS) is proposed. The array is made up of 2 × 2 identically circular-polarized sub-arrays in a chessboard configuration.

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Ultra-Wideband Networking

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Research in Science, Communication and Technology, 2021
Ultra broad band (UWB) has emerged as a leading technology for potential wireless applications due to recent developments in wideband impulse technology, low power and communication. When opposed to traditional narrow band networks, ultra-wide band (UWB) wireless communications takes a completely different approach to wireless communication.
