Wood Carbon Sponge/SiO2 Aerogel Composites with Anisotropic Broadband Microwave Absorption, Elastic Resilience, and Thermal Insulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Anisotropic wood carbon sponge/SiO2 aerogel composites are constructed, revealing a robust direction‐dependent permittivity ordering (tangential > radial > axial). The radial direction delivers an ultra‐broadband effective absorption bandwidth of 11.6 GHz at only 4.95 mm, while the tangential direction offers superior compressibility and thermal ...

Architected Spatially Deterministic Multiscale Phase Segregation in Block Copolymer Composites for Augmented Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiscale phase segregation in block copolymers enables spatially deterministic structuring from molecular to macroscopic scales, decoupling solar scattering and infrared emission for augmented radiative cooling. ABSTRACT Passive radiative cooling, which reflects solar irradiation while emitting heat through the atmospheric window, provides a ...

Ultra-Wideband Antenna and Design

open access: yes, 2012
Ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas are gaining prominence and becoming very attractive in modern and future wireless communication systems, mainly due to two factors. Firstly, people increasingly high demand for the wireless transmission rate and UWB properties such as high data rate, low power consumption and low cost, which give a huge boost to the UWB ...

Generative AI‐Enabled Discovery and Experimental Demonstration of Ultra‐Broadband Epsilon‐Near‐Zero Perfect Absorbers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Researchers developed and applied a generative artificial intelligence (AI) model to optimize epsilon‐near‐zero thin film stacks for ultra‐broadband perfect absorption of light. The fabricated AI‐designed absorber, with a total thickness of only 160 nm, experimentally demonstrated an absorption bandwidth exceeding 1000 nm while maintaining greater than

A Compact Highly Isolated Four-Element Antenna System for Ultra-Wideband Applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation
A small, orthogonally polarized, ultra-wideband (UWB), four-port multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) printed antenna is presented in this study. The envisioned antenna is built up of four microstrip fractal-based circular patch elements, each of which ...

Acoustically Activatable Drug‐Loaded Nanodroplets for Mechanochemical Therapy in Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microfluidically fabricated drug‐loaded nanodroplets are sequentially activated by dual‐frequency ultrasound through acoustic droplet vaporization followed by bubble collapse, enabling spatially controlled drug release and mechanical tumor fractionation, resulting in synergistic mechanochemotherapy and prolonged survival.
