Planar UWB Antenna with Notched Bands

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2016
The ultra-wideband (UWB) monopole antennas are designed to provide the impedance band-width of the wideband response from 2.5 to 12 GHz. To achieve single-, dual-, or triple-band notched characteristics at desirable frequencies, the electric ring ...

Comparison of two planar elliptical ultra-wideband PPy conductive polymer antennas

open access: yes, 2012
Conductive polymers are a new type of conductive materials that are attractive for application in flexible, and possibly reconfigurable antennas. Two planar elliptical ultra-wideband antennas based on conductive polymers are manufactured.

Twin‐Lever Multifunctional Meta‐Optics With High Longitudinal Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce a single‐layer, CMOS‐compatible metasurface that allows for polarization‐programmable, achromatic broadband dual‐mode imaging with high longitudinal tolerance. The twin‐lever design combines bright‐field focusing and vortex‐based edge‐enhanced imaging while managing axial intensity distribution from 488 to 633 nm.

TECTB Variants Reveal Tectorial Membrane Vulnerability in Dominant Non‐Syndromic Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TECTB is a non‐collagenous protein of the tectorial membrane – an extracellular matrix of the cochlea. This study identifies dominant missense variants in TECTB linked to human hereditary deafness in two unrelated families. Genetically engineered mice homozygous for one of the variants are profoundly deaf, whereas heterozygous mice have normal hearing ...

Electrically Tunable Graphene‐Metal Hybrid Metasurfaces for High‐Efficiency, Broadband Mid‐Infrared Transmission Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A graphene‐metal hybrid transmissive metasurface enables electrically tunable mid‐infrared transmission modulation through ionic gel top gating. By combining graphene with a metallic slit metasurface, high modulation efficiency and broadband operation are achieved simultaneously, demonstrating efficient electrical control of mid‐infrared transmission ...

Unlocking Long‐Lived Charge‐Separated State in Pentamethine Cyanine Based on Anionic Hofmeister Effect for Photodynamic Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on the anionic Hofmeister effect, a universal strategy of incorporation of stereo‐π anion BPh4− into a series of Cy5 skeletons to unlock long‐lived charge‐separated states was reported, wherein the weak electronic coupling and low charge recombination driving force hinder the charge recombination process, elevating the oxygen‐independent ROS ...
