On the fidelity of ultra-wideband antennas
2012 IEEE-APS Topical Conference on Antennas and Propagation in Wireless Communications (APWC), 2012Within this contribution two ultrawideband antennas, an almost omnidirectional bi-conical antenna of type SBA 9113 from Schwarzbeck and a directional Vivaldi antenna, are analyzed according to their time-domain characteristics. In this context the fidelity factor and the peak value play an important role.

Hybrid Metal-Graphene Ultra-Wideband Antenna
2020 International Conference on UK-China Emerging Technologies (UCET), 2020This paper presents an ultra-wideband hybrid antenna using graphene on the radiating patch and metal on the feeding line. The proposed antenna covers the whole bandwidth of 2.65-11.25 GHz, with optimal overall performance with efficiencies above 70%, using 97% less metallic material.

A Dual Band Notched Ultra-Wideband Antenna
Wireless Personal Communications, 2019In this paper, we design a planar monopole UWB antenna among two notched. Two semi-elliptical geometries are introduced at the lower and upper side’s rectangular patch. For increasing the antenna’s impedance bandwidth, stepped ground plane is used.

Ultra-Wideband Antenna Technology
2020This chapter is about ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas and arrays of UWB radiators. Most conventional antenna literature is about narrowband antennas and analysis, which covers most practical situations. The UWB antenna design and analysis require an extension of conventional antenna thinking from steady-state to transient conditions.

A Compact Ultra-Wideband Multibeam Antenna System
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2018A compact UWB (6-18 GHz) multibeam antenna system is proposed. Design procedures comprising of ridged coaxial waveguide, radome with lens properties, and biconical antenna are presented. A novel UWB feed network consisting of a ridged coaxial waveguide with eight inputs has been designed and optimized to achieve minimum reflections as well as desired ...

Design studies of ultra-wideband microstrip antenna for ultra-wideband communication
2009 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2009This paper presents a circular printed monopole antenna for the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) applications. The antenna achieved over all bandwidth of 120% from operating frequency from 3.1 to 11.5 GHz for return loss

On the integration of ultra wideband antennas in DVD players
IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 2009Impulse radio (IR) ultra wideband (UWB) is one of the possible wireless technologies to develop indoor high data rate communication systems. Due to their high bandwidth, UWB antennas introduce distortion influenced by the device where they are integrated, decreasing the system performance in terms of bit error rate (BER).

An ultra-wideband reflector antenna
Proceedings of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2002An experimental reflector antenna using a hybrid orthogonal TEM (transverse electromagnetic) feed concept is described. The new TEM feeding arrangement extends the operating frequency bandwidth by allowing the reflector antenna to operate efficiently at lower frequencies. The radiation characteristics were examined over a 10:1 bandwidth.
