Single-element based ultra-wideband antenna array concepts for wireless high-precision 2-D local positioning [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Radio Science, 2013
We generally categorize the approaches for ultra-wideband antenna array design, and consequently propose simplified concepts for antenna arrays for a high-precision, ultra-wideband FMCW radar 2-D local positioning system to obtain robustness against ...

Design of a 2-Bit Reconfigurable UWB Planar Antenna Array for Beam Scanning Application

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2023
Reconfigurable antennas have been widely employed for beam scanning in recent years. However, such antennas are usually limited by narrow bandwidth. To overcome this challenge, we present a linearly polarized 2-bit ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna array in C-

Design of Ultra Wideband Antenna

open access: yesInternational Journal of Recent Technology and Engineering (IJRTE), 2020
In this paper, A coplanar waveguide (CPW) ultra-wideband(UWB) antenna is designed, analyzed and simulated by computer simulation technology(CST). The proposed antenna is fabricated on FR-4 dielectric substrate. A microstrip feed line is used to excite the antenna. The ground plane is slotted to improve the impedance bandwidth (BW).

A Novel Miniaturized Planar Ultra-Wideband Antenna [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A novel miniaturized planar ultra-wideband antenna is proposed. The antenna design comprises an electromagnetically coupled structure and a tapered radiating slot, while a triangular slot is etched on the ground plane. The antenna miniaturization is realized by adopting an electromagnetically coupled structure formed by the notched half-ellipse patch ...

Ultra-wideband loop antenna

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2010
An ultra-wideband loop antenna is proposed that is based on a wavelength loop antenna and a slot antenna. The self-complementary principle is applied to the designed ultra-wideband antenna. The antenna operates as a loop antenna in the low frequency band (0.3-1-GHz) and as a slot antenna in the high frequency band (1-14.2-GHz).

A low‐profile wideband spiral antenna with multiple stopbands

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2023
A low‐profile spiral antenna with three stopbands (2.55 GHz band, 3.85 GHz band, and 5.45 GHz band) is developed. The stopbands are generated using three pairs of slots cut into the spiral arms.
