We report multifrequency Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) observations at 2.3 and 8.4 GHz of three nearby ultraluminous infrared galaxies, identified via mid-infrared spectroscopic analyses as hosting deeply embedded active galactic nuclei (AGNs ...

We present interferometric observations of three ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs; UGC 5101, Mrk 273, and IRAS 17208-0014) in the 3-mm wavelength range, using the Nobeyama Millimeter Array.

Ultraviolet-bright, High-Redshift Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies
We present Spitzer Space Telescope observations of the z = 2.38 Lyα emitter overdensity associated with galaxy cluster J2143-4423, the largest known structure (110 Mpc) above z = 2. We imaged 22 of the 37 known Lyα emitters within the filament-like structure, using the MIPS 24 μm band.

We introduce a novel model to spectroscopically constrain the mid-infrared (MIR) extinction/attenuation curve from 3–17 μ m, using polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) emission drawn from an AKARI–Spitzer extragalactic cross-archival data set. Currently

HDF850.1 is the brightest submillimeter galaxy (SMG) in the Hubble Deep Field. It is known as a heavily dust-obscured star-forming galaxy embedded in an overdense environment at z = 5.18.

We present CO(1–0) observations of 50 star-forming galaxies at 0.01 < z < 0.35, for which 3.3 μ m polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) emission flux or its upper limit is available.

Rotating Nuclear Rings and Extreme Starbursts in Ultraluminous Galaxies
New high resolution interferometer data of 10 IR ultraluminous galaxies shows the molecular gas is in rotating nuclear rings or disks with radii 300 to 800 pc.
