Ramsey degrees of finite ultrametric spaces, ultrametric Urysohn spaces and dynamics of their isometry groups [PDF]
We study Ramsey-theoretic properties of several natural classes of finite ultrametric spaces, describe the corresponding Urysohn spaces and compute a dynamical invariant attached to their isometry groups.

We study positive–negative guarded systems of language equations over a fixed finite alphabet. The ambient space is the complete ultrametric space of all formal languages equipped with a length-based distance, where two languages are close whenever they ...

ABSTRACT Hadal environments (> 6000 m ocean depths) are often viewed as isolated locations with high species endemism due to limited dispersal. However, molecular studies continue to reveal greater complexity that questions historical perceptions. Recent population genetic studies focused on scavenging amphipods have identified broadly distributed ...

ABSTRACT Limited knowledge of brocket deer distribution persists due to their elusive behavior and the morphological similarities among species. A population of red brocket deer (genus Mazama) was recently discovered in the Rio Doce State Park (PERD), a protected area within the Brazilian Atlantic Forest; however, species‐level identification was ...

Max–min measures on ultrametric spaces
The ultrametrization of the set of all probability measures of compact support on the ultrametric spaces was first defined by Hartog and de Vink. In this paper we consider a similar construction for the so called max-min measures on the ultrametric spaces. In particular, we prove that the functors max-min measures and idempotent measures are isomorphic.

ABSTRACT The family Narcinidae has a cosmopolitan distribution; however, its systematic composition and phylogenetic position within Torpediniformes remain poorly understood. This study evaluates the evolutionary and biogeographic history of the family Narcinidae and investigates its distribution patterns using molecular systematics.

Guarded Language Operators as Contractions in a Length-Based Ultrametric Space
We study a class of wrapping operators acting on the space of formal languages over a fixed finite alphabet. The underlying space is equipped with a length-based ultrametric, in which two languages are close whenever they coincide on all sufficiently ...

Orderability and continuous selections for Wijsman and Vietoris hyperspaces
Bertacchi and Costantini obtained some conditions equivalent to the existence of continuous selections for the Wijsman hyperspace of ultrametric Polish spaces. We introduce a new class of hypertopologies, the macro-topologies.

A 5-Adic Ultrametric Framework for Alignment-Free Phylogenetic Analysis of Hantavirus RNA Sequences
We develop a non-Archimedean framework for the representation and analysis of genomic sequences based on the arithmetic and geometric structure of the ring of 5-adic integers.

The idempotent mathematics is a part of mathematics in which arithmetic operations in the reals are replaced by idempotent operations. In the idempotent mathematics, the notion of idempotent measure (Maslov measure) is a counterpart of the notion of ...
