Phylogeny of the Electric Rays of the Family Narcinidae (Gill, 1862): Systematic Review and Evidence of the Dispersal Routes to America

open access: yesAquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems, Volume 36, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The family Narcinidae has a cosmopolitan distribution; however, its systematic composition and phylogenetic position within Torpediniformes remain poorly understood. This study evaluates the evolutionary and biogeographic history of the family Narcinidae and investigates its distribution patterns using molecular systematics.

A role for environmental niche divergence in the rapid radiation of Nicotiana section Suaveolentes (Solanaceae)

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 75, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract Nicotiana sect. Suaveolentes is a group that has undergone recent and rapid radiation, a clade that originated ca. six million years ago and has since rapidly speciated throughout Australia, with a few taxa on Pacific Islands and one in Namibia (Africa). Post‐tetraploidisation, species in N. sect.

C0-semigroups of linear operators on some ultrametric Banach spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2006
C0-semigroups of linear operators play a crucial role in the solvability of evolution equations in the classical context. This paper is concerned with a brief conceptualization of C0-semigroups on (ultrametric) free Banach spaces E.

Notes on exchange interactions in holographic p-adic CFT

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2017
There is a renewed interest in conformal field theories (CFT) on ultrametric spaces (p-adic field and its algebraic extensions) in view of their natural adaptability to the holographic setting.

Climatic Niche Modelling Reveals Limited Phylogenetic Niche Conservatism in New World Crocodylians

open access: yesJournal of Biogeography, Volume 53, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Phylogenetic niche conservatism, the tendency of closely related species to retain ancestral ecological traits, has gained considerable interest, yet the lack of integration across independent evaluation methods has hindered our understanding of whether niches are conserved or dynamic.

Constructions of Urysohn Universal Ultrametric Spaces

open access: yesp-Adic Numbers, Ultrametric Analysis and Applications, 2023
In this paper, we give new constructions of Urysohn universal ultrametric spaces. We first characterize a Urysohn universal ultrametric subspace of the space of all continuous functions whose images contain the zero, from a zero-dimensional compact Hausdorff space without isolated points into the space of non-negative real numbers equipped with the ...

Max–min measures on ultrametric spaces

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 2013
The ultrametrization of the set of all probability measures of compact support on the ultrametric spaces was first defined by Hartog and de Vink. In this paper we consider a similar construction for the so called max-min measures on the ultrametric spaces. In particular, we prove that the functors max-min measures and idempotent measures are isomorphic.

Invariant idempotent measures

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2018
The idempotent mathematics is a part of mathematics in which arithmetic operations in the reals are replaced by idempotent operations. In the idempotent mathematics, the notion of idempotent measure (Maslov measure) is a counterpart of the notion of ...

New Common Fixed Point Results in Ultrametric Spaces Utilizing Various Contractions and Their Applications to Integral Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
This study explores fixed points and common fixed points for self-mappings on ultrametric spaces, regardless of the assumption of spherical completeness.
