Optical Kerr Gating as a Strategy for Noise Reduction in Femtosecond Stimulated Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 57, Issue 7, Page 1185-1196, July 2026.
We report an experimental approach, where an Optical Kerr gate is incorporated with Femtosecond Stimulated Raman Spectrometry (FSRS). The gate functions as a temporal filter that preferentially suppresses the FSRS inherent background. FSRS spectra are reported with the Kerr‐gated methodology with significantly improved SNR compared to the conventional ...

Osteoarthritis: Epidemiology, Diagnosis, and Treatment

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a multifactorial degenerative joint disease and a leading cause of disability worldwide. This graphical abstract summarizes the epidemiology, diagnostic strategies, and therapeutic approaches of OA. OA development is driven by aging, metabolic dysregulation, and mechanical stress, leading to progressive joint degeneration ...

Quantitative MRI Biomarkers of Myelin: Cross‐Validation and Diagnostic Performance in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 7, July 2026.
STAIR‐UTE, STAIR‐STE, and MT‐derived myelin biomarkers (MPF, MWF, MMF, MTR) strongly correlate in WM, gray matter, and MS lesions. All distinguish normal from abnormal tissue, though subtle differences suggest complementary information. Histological validation is needed to confirm specificity.

Formulation of Peptide‐Based Nanoparticles Using a Microfluidic Device

open access: yesJournal of Peptide Science, Volume 32, Issue 7, July 2026.
A case study using the TAMARA microfluidic device (Inside Therapeutics) was performed for peptide‐based nanoparticles under different operational parameters such as mixing channel geometry, total flow rate, and flow rate ratio. In this context, WRAP5 cell‐penetrating peptide‐based nanoparticles for siRNA or pDNA delivery demonstrated enhanced ...

Linking Pulse‐Duration‐Controlled Laser Nanostructuring to Oxygen Evolution Kinetics in Fe‐enriched NiOx Electrodes

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 38, 8 July 2026.
Pulse‐duration‐controlled ultra‐short laser processing is shown to directly create binder‐free Fe‐enriched NiOx electrodes with tunable porosity, active‐site density, and oxygen‐evolution kinetics. Shorter pulses generate defect‐rich nanostructures that accelerate charge transfer, promote highly active NiFeOOH formation, and deliver durable alkaline ...
